Family photography in Downley, High Wycombe, Buckinghamshire that came with a bit of a twist or two…
Okay, so I am probably not an international photographer. Although, I must admit I was a bit surprised when I got contacted about this shoot. Why? Well it came as an email from Australia. A request for a family portrait photography session from Australia, I mean did they want me to fly out there? It didn’t take long though for those ideas to be put to rest.
In fact, the session was to take place in Downley, High Wycombe. The photography session was to be a surprise for the family while they were back home for Christmas. Well the emails went back and forth until everything was arranged.
The organiser had obviously done her homework as well and followed all the advice from my website and my emails. She arranged the ‘posed’ shots at the beginning of the session so that everyone got passed the feeling of being in front of a camera. The shots they wanted were going to re-create some old photographs of the family from years ago with them all against the side of the house.
The rest of the session was just about as relaxed as you could make it. A gentle stroll around the garden. If they wanted a photograph with someone that was easy, they just went and stood with that person. The little one also had fun as she got to play on the swing, a lot.
I hope that you can see how relaxed the session was from these few photographs that I have picked out to show you.
